Matt Warman, MP for Boston and Skegness, has announced a series of dates for a new summer Constituency Tour.
The tour, which takes place on 17th and 18th and 29th and 30th August, will see him hosting a series of drop in ‘Chat with Matt’ sessions at various locations throughout the area, as well as visiting local businesses and attractions, and holding an advice surgery.
Matt will also be meeting with local bodies such as the Police and the local councils as part of the tour, to discuss a range of issues affecting the area more widely.
He will be easy to spot as he will be driving a vintage VW Campervan, named George or Lucy depending on the date, on hire from VW specialists Revesby Campers.
Matt said: ‘The Constituency Tour is a continuation of the work I started during my election campaign to get closer to the people of Boston and Skegness and bring politics – and their politician – to where they are. Using the camper vans highlights the vibrant seaside aspect of our constituency and offers some shelter for a chat if the summer weather is less than kind. It is also a fantastic to support a local business, in a cost effective way, to get around the constituency.’
‘I’ve split the dates to try to ensure that as many people as possible can come and see me, even in peak holiday season. And the Bank Holiday weekend dates are bound to be popular along our beautiful coastline. I’m really looking forward to the tour, and I hope that lots of people will come along to raise any issues and have a chat.’
